Figured I might as well start using this journal feature.
Except instead of conforming and using it for journal-y stuffs, I'm instead going to use it more...

I'd really, really like to see...
:drumroll:
A Noein OVA!

(More or less Spoiler-free)

Honestly, much as I loved the series, I and probably most of the fandom (which is like what, hitting 200 people? Noein needs so much more love) do wish it had focused less on

And more on

Because honestly, much as I like Haruka, I always preferred the parts of the show focusing on the Dragon Knights.

Had the whole show been more half-and-half between the perspectives of the children and of the La'Crymans, admittedly the show would've been very different and potentially worse, but I think I would've enjoyed it more.

So...
What I'd really, really-no, what'd I love, would be an OVA. Preferably a pre-series one focusing on the history of La'Cryma (and Shangri'La for that matter, there's so much left unexplained about its origins), as post-series would be missing some characters and would probably be a generic "humanity-trying-to-restore-civilization-or-find-some-oasis-or-something." Though I could be wrong, and even a more trite concept like that could be done well enough.

So, I think I'd want an OVA focusing on the origins of La'Cryma and the creation of the Dragon Cavalry, along with Shangri'La's creation and Noein's rise to power.

Of course the odds of this happening are very slim, made even more so by the show's sad obscurity (unless some celebrity mentions it, but then I don't know if I'd want a fandom made mostly of some celeb's fangirls), but still.

If it were a La'Cryma/Shangri'La history, then we'd probably get to see the latter's invasions into the former; just imagine an army of Destructrons in HD CGI. Of course, we know that La'Cryma's earth has been almost completely destroyed within 5 years at most (I'm curious if Shangri'La invaded them the moment they developed quantum technology or if it happened after that).

Of course it's possible the histories of the two warring worlds were left out intentionally because there simply isn't one that can be told. That's likely (and disappointing), but still, Noein's brief flashbacks in the final episode really made me curious. Seriously there's just so much the series left out, love it though I do I can't help but be annoyed by that. When I next re-watch Noein I'll watch the sub (much as I hate missing Crispin Freeman's voice), perhaps that will explain it better.

So, to recap:
I'd really, really like a Noein OVA, more or less exclusively focusing on La'Cryma and Shangri'La. It could explain a lot of things, and we all wanna see the Dragon Knights back in action.

Hope all my many, many loyal followers enjoyed my first blog/journal/whatever.

Till next time,
El Psy Congroo! I'm dreaming again, that midsummer night's dream! ArE YoU tHeRe? Ye be judged not guilty! And all that jazz!
